The Copper verdigris background has been utilized again this time for a portrait of two doggies running on the beach. Fortunately for me at the time, the owner liked the idea that I had developed for the portrait of the girl in the scarf (hijab). The oxidised patina of the copper background give an unusual and timeless feel to the piece. A few months later, at the amazing age of 20, Guzzy moved on, leaving his owner heartbroken but warmed and relieved to have his best friend immortalised on canvas.
