‘Moon-baker’ was the collaborative composition arrived at after consultation with Rob, the collector, who already had a painting from my ocean series and wanted a figure painting for above their new king-sized bed. The room is all black and white, so they wanted a subtle splash of colour. The coppers and pearls give the piece a beautiful shimmery glow in certain lights. The black floating frame has a custom pearl front trim to complement this.
