I completed this portrait from a photo, as it was to be a surprise. I was totally inspired by the sweet and serious infatuation of a young man who found my creative services by the most unlikely means. It was as if we were meant to meet and I was meant to utilise my latest ”verdigris” background to undertake this commission so he could channel his intense feelings for his lady friend through this personal 21st gift.

I hope she loved his gesture and feels the adoration that it symbolises (I also hope that she doesn't mind that she has one copper eye and one verdigris).
