Some of my favourite observations of the ocean are represented here is this large ocean painting in mixed media on linen. Only about waist high, the stylised elements I refer to in this wave are the turbulence of sand in the foreground whitewash, the mysterious shadow under the wall of the wave and the dancing transparent shapes of the curl.
